Looking To Enhance Your Curb Appeal? Try This
Landscaping doesn't have to be daunting. In fact, it can be very fun and rewarding if you plan out your project before hand.
The tips I have listed below are easy enough to achieve without hiring a professional. Check out these simple and easy DIY tips to enhance your curb appeal.
- Choose a focal point. A great design starts with one big item... A tree, fountain or shrub. If you have any of those items, start there. Enhance the item and draw the eyes to that one focal point.
- Fill side yards with mulch, pea gravel or sand. A full look in these areas are appealing to the eye and give your yard a more polished look that doesn't require constant watering or weeding.
- Create a floor bed. When choosing plants, lean towards the expertise of the employees at the store, then experiment with what plants work well on the location based on the level of sun, shade and the soil quality. I love visiting my local Home Depot store to purchase plants and to receive gardening tips. The sales associates are very knowledgeable and always happy to help.
- Be sure to plant native plants! Plants that grow naturally in your region will offer less expense and maintenance because native plants thrive without help and are still interesting and enjoyable to look at, just as much as flowers.
