ALOHA JULY- How To Plan Out Your Month
Happy July 1st!!! I don't know about you but I can't believe that we are already in the month of July. Like, where has this year gone?! Well, I think we all know the answer to that question lol.
You do realize that we are like 5 months away from Christmas, right? I guess this years Christmas gifts will consist of hand sanitizer, Clorox wipes and face mask (shaking my head) Don't judge me...
Nevertheless, I am super excited about planning out my month and crushing my monthly goals. Do you have a monthly planning routine? If so, I'd love to hear all about it. Drop your tips in the comment section on how you plan out your month, your goals and any other great tips.
Here's the deal, I am a planner. I plan out everything. My meals, my outfits, of course my goals and sometimes my hairstyles... Yes, it is that deep. For example, I will plan to wear my hair a certain way for the Spring/Summer months or for the Fall/Winter months. I don't have time to be worrying about my hair lol.
When it comes to planning out my months, I look at Holidays, any vacations etc.
For the month of July, I am strictly focusing on my real estate goals as well as my other new business venture. YES, I said it. New business venture and I can not wait to share more details with y'all. Below are three simple and easy planning tips to use when planning out your month. I honestly have more but to keep things short and sweet, let's start with three.
Three Simple and Easy Tips For Planning Out Your Month
- Write out your monthly Goals and Visions. I love love love journals, planners, organizers, you name it. I start by writing out my goals and visions for the month. What am I looking to accomplish or what did I start in the previous month but did not finish? Studies show that you remember things better and are more likely to achieve your goals when you write them down. Also, post your goals where you can see them everyday. This will keep you motivated and offer encouragement when you feel like giving up.
- Make time for Self Care. It is so easy to neglect yourself when you're too busy trying to crush your goals. I'll be the first to admit. June was an amazing month for me but I also felt completely burnt out and had a little mini-emotional moment because I was so overwhelmed. Take time out for yourself. Treat yourself to an at home spa-day or relax on the couch, with your phone off and do absolutely nothing.
- Plan out your Home, Car or Office Cleaning Routine. I love a clean space and the smell of bleach and pine-sol. I honestly cannot focus if my house is a mess. To keep myself from going crazy or burnt out while cleaning, I focus on different areas each month. For example, I don't clean baseboards or windows every month. I just don't. However, each month or quarterly, I try to plan and focus on the big and more time consuming areas such as cleaning out the pantry, the refrigerator or the garage. By planning out those areas, I save my energy to focus on the everyday cleaning areas such as the kitchen, bathrooms and main living areas.
In my opinion, these three tips are the most important to start with. If you are new to planning, start here then next week, I'll share more helpful tips.
